Response & Quotations

We will endeavour to provide you with feedback concerning your enquiry within the shortest time possible. Quotations sourced on your behalf are indicative and based on the information you have supplied. Binding terms and quotes will be available following the completion of a detailed proposal form or via the Buy Online option (if applicable). Quotations are valid for a maximum period of 30 days from their date of release unless specified otherwise or in the case of material changes in the risk.

Disclosure of Material Facts

The insurance terms provided will be based on the information you are submitting. It is understood and agreed that all material facts are submitted and that questions will be answered correctly and to the best of your knowledge and belief. If this is inaccurate or incomplete, the terms provided may be subsequently withdrawn. In the event of an insurance being issued on the basis of non disclosed or misrepresented facts the policy may be voided and any claims repudiated. For guidance on what should be disclosed you are invited to contact our representative for this class of business of interest to you. If in doubt as to whether a circumstance constitutes a material fact then it is best practice that you disclose it.

Data Protection

All data supplied by you is treated with strict confidence and is not divulged to any other party unless and to the extent allowed or prescribed by law and for the purposes of providing our services to you that may for instance include the submission to third parties for the purpose of securing quotations, arranging insurance protection, conducting risk consultancy services and/or managing your claims. All reasonable measures are taken to protect your data from unauthorised access and misuse and we are registered with the Office of the Commissioner for Data Protection, Malta and process data in accordance with the Maltese Data Protection Act 2001. It is understood that in submitting any details or enquiry through our web site you are authorising our office to process your data for the purposes of delivering our broking and risk consultancy services.

Data supplied by you may also be stored and used for the purposes of administering a policy or a claim, or for the purpose of preventing, detecting or suppressing fraud and to update you on our services and promotions. If you would not like to be updated please send an e-mail to ‘info@mib.com.mt’ specifying your request.

If you are supplying information relating to other people we will process this information with the understanding that you have their permission to release this information and we have their consent to process it as noted above.

We also understand that you are aware that any information supplied over the internet is not necessarily secure. Whilst doing our utmost to protect this flow of data we can neither guarantee total protection nor vouch for the security measures in place by the respective insurance entities, companies etc. we approach on your behalf. In accepting these terms and conditions you are agreeing that we cannot be held responsible for any unauthorised access to this information.

You have the right to request permission to view and verify any information held on your behalf and to update same. Please send an email to ‘info@mib.com.mt’ should you wish to make arrangements in this regard.

We may also collect information during your visit to our website through cookies. We use cookies to help us compile aggregate statistics about usage of the website. This information is used to improve content and personalize your user experience. Payment Processing

 

The card details are received and processed directly by our payment gateway (PSP), the Transactium Payment Gateway: the card details are transmitted from you to the payment gateway (PSP) encrypted over high-strength SSL for maximum protection and confidentially. We do not at any point handle the card information.

For additional security, your three digit security code found at the back of your card is never stored by the payment gateway (CVV/CVC2).

The payment gateway (PSP) is licensed and authorized by Visa, MasterCard and other card associations to act as a payment gateway and is fully audited and compliant with the Payment Card Industry Security Standards.
